This makes a great option for an entry-level switch, Spey, boat or all-around, ready-for-anything reel. A sexy fusion between the free-form structures of a cast spool and the mechanical integrity of a CNC-machined case, Remix is the ultimate hybrid. Machined from bar-stock aluminum, the case delivers maximum structural rigidity and durability all wrapped in a harder, brighter finish. The spool (compatible with Liquid), is pressure-cast with radiused compound curves, near zero-radius inside corners, and a precise fit and finish. It has a U-shape arbor and narrow format to aid in line control. Remix crossbreeds the best of CNC-machining and pressure-cast technologies to deliver an unprecedented level of quality in its' class.

Trouble Free

Been using two Remix 7+ HD reels for 5 years now. Brilliant reels. I use shooting head lines a lot and the full cage has eliminated the narrow running line getting where it shouldn't. Love these reels.

Remix HD 9

This a great reel! Just like the other 13 Lamsons I own! This is my first HD version of the Remix, and I really like the full cage feature. The drag, as always, is superb. I am testing it on Chum Salmon this weekend!

Full cage best reel for salmon

I opted for the full cage version. I fish primarily the Kenai and Russian rivers in Alaska for Red and Silver salmon. This is the reel you want. The full cage keeps the line where you need it and prevents it from getting stuck between the spool while flip fishing. The drag is amazing there is zero inertia when you first hook a fish, no hard pull for the fish to pop off the hook. It's smooth the entire time and light weight. Drop it in the water? Who cares the drag is sealed! Remix HD 7+

Perfect application for that reel. That frame captures line and makes the reel bombproof.

sockeye

I have several Lamson reels but I bought this Remix HD recently and have used it for catching sockeye on the Kenai river in Alaska. It has done very well has an excellent drag and is well worth the cost. I will put it to the test later this summer when the silvers start to come in.
