Recently purchased Larson Liquid, practiced casting, then went to the bulkhead in Sea Isle City NJ for blues and striper. Inadvertently hit the rod on the wood bulkhead and the reel tangs where it mounts to the reel seat snapped off. These are extremely thin and cast aluminum. Poor method of mounting or just poor material? Extremely disappointed and very aggravated. Has often does this occur and remedy is there?

I bought mine over a year ago, but used it for the first time yesterday as part of a euro nymphing rig. Spool popped off while playing a fish on the San Juan and now I can’t snap it back in place. I had high hopes this was going to be a great value, but it basically ruined a fishing trip.
Tanya, We reached out over the weekend but weren't able to get a hold of you. Please reach whenever is convenient, we will also try again today. I'm very sorry to hear there was an issue with your reel and we will make it right for you.
I use my Lamson Liquid reel for fresh and salt water, it has not disappointed! Lightweight but tough, a quick and easy change of spools allows me to use this reel for many applications. Affordably priced spare spools allow me to keep the right line at the ready in my gear bag!
I have had my Liquid reel (-5+, Smoke) for a little over a year and have been very pleased. The fit and finish are very good and the drag is excellent!
I’ve been using a Liquid for approximately 4 years now and have never had a problem with it. I honestly don’t think there’s a better reel for the money. Great product at a great price.
